📍 Location: Lake Chatuge, Hiawassee, GA
🏡 Project: Landscape Finishing with Rebel Fescue Sod
🌱 Sod Variety: Rebel Supreme Fescue
📆 Timeline: Fall 2025
🌳 Installer: A&A Lawn & Landscaping, LLC
With sweeping views overlooking Lake Chatuge, this Hiawassee property already had a stunning backdrop — but A&A Lawn & Landscape knew the right finishing touch would take the project to another level. By installing NG Turf Rebel Supreme Fescue, they delivered the fresh, vibrant lawn their client didn’t even realize they needed.
Originally, sod wasn’t part of the project scope. But once the hardscape was complete, A&A recognized that the new retaining walls deserved a landscape finish that matched their craftsmanship — and their client agreed. Five pallets of premium Rebel Supreme Fescue later, the property now has a clean, cohesive, and polished look that complements the natural mountain environment.
In the mountains of North Georgia, fescue isn’t just an option — it’s often the best-performing cool-season grass for shaded areas, cooler temps, and sloped terrain.
A&A Lawn & Landscape shared this insight with their client, noting that:
- Rebel Supreme Fescue performs exceptionally well in the North Georgia mountains
- It maintains strong color and density even with fluctuating temperatures
- Its consistency and reliability have made it their “go-to” sod from NG Turf for years
- It delivers a lush, finished appearance that ties the entire landscape together
The result is a rich, green lawn that enhances the property’s lake views and blends seamlessly with its natural surroundings.
- Re-graded and prepped the lawn area after wall construction
- Spread topsoil for improved grading and root contact
- Installed five pallets of NG Turf Rebel Supreme Fescue
- Used sod staples to secure sections (a common best practice on steep or uneven terrain in the North Georgia mountains)
A&A Lawn & Landscape, LLC shared:
“We always recommend fescue to our customers when possible — it does very well in the North Georgia mountains. NG Turf Rebel Fescue has been a go-to product of ours for years and is usually very consistent, which keeps our customers happy with the overall project.”
The transformation is subtle yet powerful. With a soft, uniform lawn rolling between the retaining walls and stretching toward the lake, the landscape now feels complete — polished, cohesive, and ready for enjoyment.
Premium sod doesn’t just cover the ground; it elevates the entire property, especially in rugged terrain like North Georgia.
